At what age do most people try and stop this? Do you tend to wait until your baby is weaned? Are their any signs to suggest they don,t need it to watch out for-thanks

We gave it up before weaning. DD didn't really want any milk and just wanted to have a play with me and dh - so at just under 6mo we didn't wake her up one night and she slept till 6am!
Saying that - for the past 2 nights she has woken up at 9.30pm but I suspect teeth as she doesn't want milk.

best sign to look out for is if they don't finish their breakfast/first milk of the day (well, that's what i did anyways)...ds1 gave his up around 7mths, but probably could have done without it before then

I dropped it pretty early on (around 9 weeks) as she stopped waking up for it. I did dream feed her for a week or so, but then just didn't one night and she slept through till 6 whereas before with the 11pm feed she was waking again at 1 or 2.
