Baby upset during and afte feeds

I had to switch baby to formula, she is two weeks old. Currently using cow and gate ready made formula, as wasn’t planned to formula feed. I’ve ordered a prep machine which will hopefully help!

When I feed baby she turns her head like she is looking for breast, unsure if common or if it’s because she was being BF. Then gets frustrated.
During formula she gets quite upset and starts pushing her legs to tummy during and after feeds, lots of crying and won’t settle and makes grunting noises and fidgets a lot. It took over an hour of formula feed and for her to settle. Nothing was soothing her! She is sick sometimes and need to sit her for 30 mins after feeds or if laid down she will be sick. We wind her and breaks during feed
She can get lots of hiccups and wind. I’m just worrying as Bf she wasn’t doing the noises or legs thing! google leads me to reflux or cmpa? Midwifes say normal but feeling :(

I’m new to being mum and autistic and stressing out!

Hmm to me it does sound like a possible allergy. Could you try her on lactose free or non dairy milk to see? Might be worth seeing a GP.

I think this can be really normal, both of mine were the same. What bottles are you using ? It sounds like you need a slow teat.
Has the HV or midwife observed your baby feeding ? You could maybe video and show them.

What are her nappies like? Is there any jelly like mucus? Or are they stringy? That would point towards CMPA

Sounds like reflux to me. My baby is the same and just been diagnosed with silent reflux as he doesn’t actually vomit! Docs gave gaviscon and it seems to be helping so far

Sorry hit send before completing. These are all tell take signs of reflux, grunting/coughing, hiccups, crying during and after feeds. I had to feed DS upright but he would still scream. The medicine has worked so far. It’s because the valve at top of stomach can still be immature and with age should mature and stop acid/food coming back up
