6.5 month old only drinks 3-4oz

Hi all. Son is 6.5 months old and up until a week or so ago was exclusively BF. In preparation for returning to work next month I've been replacing 2-3 breastfeeds a day with formula. I still BF him first thing in the morning, in the evening, and at night. He's also eating some solid food but not much.

The thing is, when he has formula he NEVER drinks more than 3 or 4 oz. He doesn't act hungry afterwards and seems perfectly content. He's a big boy, 23lbs! So I assumed he'd drink more.

Anything to be concerned about? Again he seems perfectly happy and is having wet and dirty nappies.

Thanks 😊

When they are BF they only take around 25 flow in a day. As your milk changes to suit their needs they don't need to drink ever increasing amounts to be fed so the fact that he's taking 3 to 4 ounces right now is really good!

He may start drinking more or he may just fill up on solids. I would however give him a daily vitamin.
