Is BF a lost cause?

10 days post partum. I have poor milk supply currently pumping 7 times a day getting 15mls or so in total. Topping up with formula. Also struggling to get baby to latch and when they are latched they don’t suck after about 3 sucks.
is there any hope?

Have you had help from any professionals? Specialist feeding health visitor? Local breastfeeding support group? Private lactation consultant?

There is medication a doctor may prescribe to increase milk supply.

There is hope, but it may be a long process. Are you getting any help? Usually the LLL are usually good.

Has your baby been assessed for tongue tie or any other physical reason why they can’t latch? I agree you need some professional help and the sooner the better if you want to keep breastfeeding.
