Problems introducing formula

DD2 is 6.5 months and we are introducing some formula because I'm going back to work in January. It's been a bit of a struggle getting her to actually take the bottle but now she is getting better. The problem is she cries throughout the feed - she'll do a few gulps, then stop and cry, then have more, then cry, and so on. The max she'll drink at any one time is about 70ml and then she's too upset to continue. She will then happily breastfeed so is still hungry.

She doesn't seem unsettled generally since introducing it so I don't think the formula is upsetting her tummy or anything - and I guess that wouldn't happen so quickly as to upset her during the feed anyway.

She very happily drinks water from a sippy cup, and is doing well with solids, if that's relevant.
Is this normal for introducing formula? Is there anything we can do to help her?

Why size test are you using? My let down is quite forceful so DS gets in much better with the stage 2 or size 2 or however it’s phrased as it seems to come out at a better pace for him.

Personally I think 70 ml is bang on at this stage. BF babies drink roughly 30 ml an hour, so if she's feeding every 2.5 hours her tummy will only be used to having 70 ml.

Once you move over to more FF, she might increase the amount she's drinking but don't forget that you're also moving over to solids so if you cut all BFs she'll only need 600 ml, much less if some of the feeds are BFs.
