Domperidone Experiences

Hello!

So, I started taking Domperidone 2.5 months ago after getting sepsis from mastitis and my supply tanking. The volume of oats I was consuming didn't quite cut it 😂

For context, my baby had a submucous cleft palate but was breastfed. He's just had corrective surgery and continues to breastfeed. The domperidone improved my supply but also my flow which really helped my breastfeeding journey. I have a pump schedule that I'm slowly working to reduce as he relearns feeding.

I'm considering staying on Domperidone due to the help with the flow and I wondered what everyone else did?

I spoke to Dr Jack Newman who is a big advocate of Domperidone and he has advised it's safe and a better flow can help to improve a latch.

Let me know your thoughts!

No experience to share just that I'm hoping to get a prescription for Domperidone this week after seeing a lactation consultant today.
Would be interested to hear your experience if you start it.
All the best
