So my baby has thrush and I was given drops for him but I wasn't given anything as I was on antibiotics for c-section infection. I dnt think his thrush has gone with the completed course of medication so I have started with grapefruit extract 10 drops in distilled water and swab his mouth once or twice a day. I do think it is clearing slowly.
He is also on probiotics as am i because he had a dose of antibiotics and I have had 4 courses of it for CS.
I have noticed small white spots around my nipple. Wondering if this is thrush or is it Milk spots? My nipple is sore and I do get random shooting pains here and there..
I did go to GP about it and the new doctor didn't even look at my breast to examine. He has prescribed me antifungal cream with steroid.. my baby feeds every hour with feed + burp and nappy change i will have 20 mins in between. I dnt want to put it on for few mins and then wash it off. I just dnt have time for that.Also I dnt want to use it when I am breastfeeding my baby. I am a bit weary of traces of steroid going in little ones mouth.
