Help!!! Dried up after getting sick

Hi all
37 weeks and I've been harvesting colostrum (baby likely to come early) with relative ease. I came down with quite a bad cold and chest infection and was given a week course of antibiotics by the GP...and now I cannot hand express a single drop! I've totally dried up and it's sent me into a bit of a panic. My last BF journey was a nightmare hence harvesting this time to be a bit more prepared.

Has anyone experienced similar and will the colostrum return once I finish the medication? Today is the last day I have to take it.

Of course. I have never harvested and had colostrum after birth.

I wouldn't worry about it. Try expressing same time each day and see if that helps. Stressing about how much you are expressing will hinder it.

Your body will produce milk once baby is born- the birth of the placenta tells your body to make milk (look up lactogenesis 2). The colostrum is just a handy back up if that process is delayed. You said you were expressing plenty before, so you might already have plenty to get you through the first few days?

i couldn't express anything antenatally and still BF past a year.
