QUick EMB storage question

mandler · 26/01/2008 17:16

I had my first night out last night (hurrah!) and ds slept throughout. So my hard won 5 oz of EBM sat next to his cot for about 4-5 hours cos DH forgot to put it back in the fridge. Can I use it tonight? Expressed yesterday morning. Smells ok-ish but maybe a bit sour. To be honest I have no idea! WOuld hate to throw it away tho
Thanks

I wouldn't use it.

taste it - if it's off you'll know immediately!

Oh and just found out ds actually took an oz, so can I 'regive' him the bottle?

if he's alraedy had a go at it I would discard it tbh what a shame

arse. sorry, but I never get the storage thing right and always end up having to throw it away!

I would be cautious and not give it, if it were me i'd only leave it out for half and hour to an hour, any longer and i'd not use it. The fact that lo has had some is more reason not to use it though cause bacteria may have had chance to multiply in the milk from lo's saliva (sp?), it's a shame but i'd leave it
