Can someone please help? I am at my wits end, still feedin 2.5 yr son. Tried everything even asked doc for something to dry my milk up only to be told to go away on a break without him!!!! Sooooo tired

Sorry to hear that you're having such a tough time.
Can you give us a little more information?
I pressume that you want to stop feeding your DS but that he's not so keen?
What have you tried? How many times a day do you feed him?

I weaned my DD by gradually cutting down the number of feeds she had a day.
I tried to distract her with other things to give her the idea that she didn't need to feed as much any more.
When she was hungry I gave her food.
When she was thirsty I gave her water or cow's milk.
When she wanted comfort or was sleepy I gave her a cuddle.
I gradually cut her feeds down until she went for a full day without.
It wasn't nearly as stressful or difficult as I expected it to be.

However, maybe this isn't useful advice for you...how can we help?

You need to decide to stop and really mean it. Wear inaccessible clothes and be firm. THere will be tears and upset but your child will get over it and the tears wont go on forever. I stopped my 3 year old and I cant tell you how happy I felt once we got past the upset stage and she actually realised she couldnt have any more.

Why not get the fairies to come and take your milk away and give him something now that he is a big boy??!!

a friend of mine painted stopbite (the nail polish stuff that stops you biting your nails) on her nipples - her dd was nearly three and she stopped after one attempt.

with the right explanation and the boob fairies as determination says, that could be an option???
