BF baby switching boob every 30 seconds

My DS has fed off both breasts since being about 2 months - he would do a solid 5-10 mins on each boob. We recently started weaning him but he is not consuming a lot and so BF as usual (on demand but usually every 3ish hours). He has taken more recently to doing his first 5 min feed, then wanting both breasts out and he places himself in the middle of the breasts and sucks off one nipple for 20-30 seconds then switches to the next nipple, does the same and so the cycle continues on repeat until I pull him away (I think he would happily do this indefinitely) in which he screeches for 20 seconds then gets over it and smiles. I don’t think he is hungry at this point, he is using it for comfort.

Does anyone else baby do this?

i’m still bfing 18 months in and remember my LO doing this, can’t remember what age but i posted about it on a bfing page and they all said it just seemed to be a phase they all do. bit annoying isn’t it! especially in public 😂

@bishbashboosh1 haha yes, that is my main concern - there is no way to feed like this discreetly 🙈
