How many breastfeeds does your 6mo have during th day?

So far at least 5 today since he woke for the day at 6.30/7ish. I would expect a couple more this evening then 3-4 overnight too. He’s 6 months this week.

Thank you for your reply. That sounds similar to what I’m doing, but I’ve seen online others seem to feed less frequently, and my DD seems to be less interested in feeds than she was, so I’m wondering if I’m offering more than I need to. Was hoping to get a sense of what others are doing here.

I think at 6 months mine was having about 7 feeds a day, of which 1 or 2 were in the night.

My DS was having 8-10 during the day, then more overnight. In my experience you can't over feed a breast fed baby, they're very good at regulating how much they have and with my DS he would refuse if he genuinely wasn't hungry/thirsty

My daughter was on my boob constantly. We're talking over 30 times per day

Mine was still feeding every hour in the day at that age. You can't overfeed them! Dropped to 3 feeds by 1 year and she self weaned at 14 months. The way she was as a baby I thought I'd be feeding her for years!

Loads! I was laughing with my friend st a book that said 6 months old need feeds 4 hourly in the day & none st night.
Usually 2-3 hourly throughout the day. 2-5 hourly overnight.
