Mixing formula and breast milk in same bottle

My 11 week old is not taking formula and I wanted to introduce a couple of bottles a day to help balance the feeding. Is it ok to mix formula with my breast milk in one bottle to help my DD take to it more?

I would suggest perhaps trying a different formula.I wouldn't mix breastmilk with formula simply because if some or all is wasted then so is breastmilk.

It’s perfectly safe to mix them but as pp said it would be such a shame to waste any precious pumped milk

I would suggest looking into pumping tips and tricks .If you are only looking to substitute some of the milk with formula there is a way you can get it to be milk?
For example I discovered that 5 min after pumping I have a second letdown so that way if I waited I could pump more. After that I always had extra bottle or two in the fridge.

it’s fine.

like Introducing a new formula to babies, try mixing it 10% formula, 90% milk. Then slowly increase the formula ratio.

Sorry I have no advice but I'm having the same problem with my 14 week old! She really doesn't seem to like the taste of formula. I've only tried Aptimal. Not sure if all formulas taste the same?

They are different, I picked Cow and Gate for DD in the end because the smell of Aptimal made me gag! To me it smelt like a mix of rubber and parmisan.

I wanted one I knew would be readily available and didn't want to try SMA because it is owned by Nestle.

@Magenta82 ah I see. I'll try Cow and Gate - thanks!
