Afternoon Feed

Ds is now 9 months and on the days I don't work has 3 breastfeeds a day plus 3 solid meals. On my work days I used to express but I began to find it more and more difficult so I started to give formula for his afternoon feed.

At the age he is now I am wondering whether he really needs this feed. Obviously on my at home days I wouldn't deny him a b/f but my bottlefed daughter was only on 2 feeds a day by this stage. My sil however says he guzzles a 7oz bottle when she has him, but is this just habit rather than hunger?

I also don't like the hassle of formula so was wondering whether I should just give him full fat cows if he does want milk at this time.

He is a teeny baby if that makes any difference. At 9 months he weighs just 14lb 7oz and is underneath all the centile lines.
