MAM Teat Size 3

Hi,

My little boy is just over 4 months and is starting to get frustrated when feeding. He’s not finishing his feeds, starts chewing on the teat and hits the bottle where the flow is too slow - he’s currently on size 2 MAM teats.

I’ve tried the size 3 a few times and the flow is just too fast for him. He ends up with so much milk down his front, choking and spluttering etc that I end up swapping back to a 2 teat as he gets so upset.

Has anyone else found this? Is there another bottle brand anyone could recommend? I’m wondering if there’s a teat size that’s between the 2 & 3 that would suit my boy better.

Thanks!

Have you tried using the size 3 but pace feeding? Hold the bottle more horizontal so that the teat isn't full of milk, so the rate the milk flows out is slower.

Hi @Pitstop1986 I have as that’s how we normally feed our LO. I compared the two teat to the three with water and the two goes from dripping to the 3 being a constant stream! I think it’s just too big of jump for my LO atm.

Have you tried a variflow teat? Don't know if Mam do them but Tommee Tippee do.
