Formula refusal

Hello,

Any help or advice appreciated please! My just turned 9 month old has been refusing formula for nearing a week now. He won't take it from a bottle, sippy cup or open cup. He is taking some water and putting formula in his food but he's having numerous constipated poos. We've been advised by GP and HV to add more liquid to his food i.e porridge, cereal, soup etc. Problem is he wants to feed himself more but we need to make sure he's actually taking the food because it's now his main source of liquid so he's getting frustrated and upset at meal times. He's pooing all the time too but just little pebbles which must be adding to his discomfort and I just don't know what to do anymore 😭

Can you give him a lot of wet fruit? Watermelon makes a real mess of poos if you let them have loads of it 🙈
