9mo has been unwell, now won’t drink anything .. help

Hi,
my 9mo has had a nasty ear infection and a cough - is currently finishing a course of amoxicillin. However she is completely off any sort of liquid - won’t entertain milk or water - just bats the bottle away - I’ve tried a bottle, a sippy cup/cup with a straw - she just clamps her mouth shut. I’ve had a look in her mouth and can’t see any thrush or anything. She will eat solids and she is still wetting her nappies .. seems relatively happy in herself etc. Just worried as she will literally have about 6oz all day. Yesterday she went 7 hours without a drink!! Any advice?

Try fruit Ice lollies?

When my eldest was about the same age, she had a nasty bout of tonsillitis, was incredibly sleepy and wouldn’t drink anything.

We took her into hospital and we had to syringe a juice & water mix into her, about 5ml every mins or so. She hated being forced to drink but was back to herself fairly quickly. One of my twins recently had tonsillitis and was off his milk so I did the same for him. He was back to drinking his bottles within a few hours.
