Posterior tie nightmare

First time posting and really need some hope/advice, it’s been a long road but I’ll try keep it brief!

my EBF 10 week old was diagnosed with posterior tie by infant feeding coordinators at hospital around 5 weeks (painful latch/ funny shaped nipples after a feed/frequent feeding and then absolute nightmare with constant blocked ducts - every day a new one!). I have a bleeding disorder (Von Willebrands type 1) which makes me more prone to bleeding, babys cord blood was checked at birth and they are fairly confident he doesn’t have it but can’t say 100% until he’s 6 months.

because of the disorder noone seems willing to cut the tie despite my haematologist supporting him having the procedure done with prophylactic tranexamic acid. One consultant refused to even book an appointment because of my medical history which seems wrong to me! Things seem to be improving slightly in terms of latch pain (although still sore) and the blocked ducts are bit less frequent. However, he’s gone from 25th, to 50th, back down to 25th and now down to the 9th centile and am worried he’s not getting enough milk despite feeding what seems like constantly! He never really seems satisfied but does have tonnes of wet nappies and poos around once a day.

weve Had latch checked by everyone I can get to look and it looks ‘perfect’. Not sure what I’m looking for here - maybe just hoping someone else out there has been through similar? Or has some advice? I just don’t know what to do for the best at this point and feel really alone with it all 😞

That sounds so difficult @Mousekeeping

Would any of the Tongue Tie Practioners be willing to divide it?
