11 week old taking less milk

Hi all,

Just after abit if advise, my 11 week old (12 week on Thursday & bottle fed) has over the past few days stopped drinking alot less milk. She was previously taking between 4/5oz per feed & I’m now having to really encourage her to take 2/3oz. For reference she’s roughly 11lbs & the health visitor has advised she should be drinking 25oz a day which she is nowhere near taking. We’re using mam bottles are were on Cow & Gate but we’ve switched to Hipp as she was very gassy with very runny nappies.

She sleeps well, has last bottle at 7ish, down for 7:30 then usually wakes between 3/4 for another feed then back down till 7-7:30ish. So I can only presume she’s not hungry.

Have visited the GP who said they aren’t concerned if she’s got wet/dirty nappies & think it will sort itself out but I’m still concerned.

Has anyone else’s babies gone through a similar thing? Is it just a phase or should I pushing for answers more?

Sorry for the long post, first time mum here so abit clueless! Appreciate any advise 🙂

This sounds a lot like my baby too. Can I ask what made you switch formula? We are also finding she’s a bit gassy and a lot of runny poos that are almost diarrhoea like. HV said to watch her weight but like you, not overly concerned due to wet and dirt nappies.
