Hey all,
Just wanted some advice or to check if I'm going crazy...
I have a 9 week old, only formula fed from birth as they are on prescribed milk for preemies. Im told that feeding is meant to be a happy bonding experience... it's far from it for us.
Every feed is full of constant jerking and writhing around, pulling away from the bottle, crying when the bottle is in the mouth, crying when it is taken out, needing to be burped 2/3 times during a feed and being sick each time.
Even if I keep them upright for a good 30 minutes after the feed, they throw up again when laid down to sleep and upto 2 hours later they will vomit again if picked up.
Bowel movements are loose and VERY smelly.

We have tried medication for reflux and colic which seemed to help for a day but now symptoms are back to the worst again. 80% of awake time is full of tears and high pitched screaming.

I'm tired and it's really getting me down... I feel like it could be a cows milk allergy, baby's dad has a lactose intolerance but GP is reluctant to test.

Am I going mad? Is this normal?

Great news! I'd ask for a referral to a dietitian if possible as you may need help and advice when starting to wean if it is CMPA.
