11 week old baby refusing the bottle!

First time on mumsnet and really hoping someone out there has some advice for me!!

My DS is 11 weeks old and has been breastfed since birth, at 4 weeks we introduced a formula bottle as last feed of day/bedtime feed. DS always fed well on both breast and bottle but the last couple of weeks he just hates the bedtime feed! Gets upset, cries, arches his back and hits the bottle.

We changed bottle (tried tommee tippee but currently using MAM), we changed the teat size and we changed the formula (kendamil to hipp organic). Some evenings seem to be a bit better and he might eat 220ml but a lot of evenings he only takes 40-60ml! He can sleep for up to 7 hours even if he only has a small amount, is gaining weight really well and has plenty of wet nappies (he poops every 1-3 days but they are massive 😂) so I am not so worried about him not getting enough milk but he just seems so upset and I don’t know what to do!

It might be that he just now associates the bottle with bedtime and so works himself up? Anyone experienced anything similar? I don’t know whether to persevere or give up and feed him on the breast, having said that I have given in once or twice and he hasn’t fed well at all on the boob either…

DS also gets loads of trapped wind (using gripe water) and has Ezcema which I thought could be related but not so sure.

Any help or advice would be really appreciated!

If he's got wind and eczema, could he have Cow's Milk Protein Allergy?

This article from Kellymom might be helpful too Flowers

I did wonder if he might have cows milk allergy but as he doesn’t have diarrhoea and is rarely sick I wasn’t sure? Thanks for the link I will take a look!
