Aptamil Pepti Syneo experience was on Nutramigen

Hello!

does anyone have any experience with Aptamil Pepti Syneo? We were recently put on Nutramigen as a trial for my 6 week old and it was working so well…until we couldn’t complete the trial as no one (not even the manufacturer) can get Nutramigen

the manufacturer were actually the ones to tell us to swap milk, as they have no return date. After a lot of phone calls, the doctors found the alternative as Aptamil Peti Syneo but I can find no info on it as it is fairly new.

it isn’t the same as the Pepti 1, it’s a different formula and he doesn’t need a milk like Neocate, I’m literally just looking for any experience on this new milk we have been given. I can’t handle the idea of changing his milk yet again

im the original poster! So we’re 10 months down the line and we’re still on that milk. We had a rough 2 weeks with him getting used to it and then honestly it was like a switch flicked! Amazing

I’ve recently spoken to a dietician about it and basically it is the same formula as Aptamil Pepti 1, which you see tonnes of people talk about - however the difference with this one is that it had added probiotics, so it has loads of goodness for the gut. Also this milk is made cold because hot water kills the bacteria, which in my experience has been a dream for taking it out and about and is making his transition to soy milk easy, because he’s already used to cold milk

I’ve just seen this post now and also on the same formula. My DS was literally a completely different baby when he went on it. The formula smells awful - but wow did it change things! Hope it works for you too!

Oh and also the wind is horrendous smelling 😂

Hey my little girl was started on the aptimel pepti syneo 4 weeks ago and also the carobel with it. How did you find your babies poops? Hers are very loose. But thinking it could possibly be the carobel causing issues

we had a similar experience with his poo. I wouldn’t say it was watery at all, it was more just “soft” and thick liquid. Our doctors were never concerned as he was feeding fine and generally happier

I’d give it a couple of weeks on the combination and go back if you’re not happy (or sooner if you’re worried)
