Baby not feeding well

Hi All
so my baby is 10 weeks old, he’s always been very gassy but he still manages to eventually drink his milk everytime he’s due a feed, as he just requires burping.
last few days he’s really not been wanting his milk, at first I thought there was a problem with the batch of Aptamil we bought, so I tried the readymade and breast milk in a bottle but he is still squirming with them too. I’ve tried him on my breast however and he feeds fine directly from the breast. Any ideas what the issue is ? If I could give him fulltime breast directly I would, but my breasts don’t even produce half enough of what he needs. For now everytime he’s asking for milk I put him on the breast in the hood i start producing more. He has been on formula though since he was 2 weeks old and I’ve been giving him pumped breast milk top ups now and then

Also can I Add when I feed him water how ever he loves that and drinks it all. So there’s not an issue with the bottle or nipple etc

I’d be really cautious about offering water, you don’t want him filling up on water if he’s not managing to consume the milk he needs. In your shoes I would speak to my health visitor.

Thanks for that, yes I understand that’s not the solution
ive been giving a little water so he doesn’t get dehydrated, I will contact my health visitor today too

Has he ever been checked for Tongue Tie @Tan001? It sounds like he may have some of the symptoms.

Have you tried calling one of the BFing helplines as well, assuming you're in the U.K.?
