Combi feeding, how much and when

Hi
I have a 3 week old who was born via v section at 38 weeks weighing 6 pounds. It's been hell since then with her weight dropping and climbing constantly and I've convinced myself I'm starving her by feeding her just my breastmilk. She is always unsettled and still rooting afterwards, no matter how long the feed is. As she didn't hit her birth weight by 2 weeks, I was told to top up with formula but I ended up giving her full feeds of formula whilst alternating breast milk.
I expressed yesterday and barely got 2 ounces from my boobs, goes to show why she's still hungry.
I feed her 4 ounces of formula twice a day right now and I feel so done with breastfeeding but I want to persist even if it is on a smaller scale.

I'm not here for bf and ff wars. Please can someone advise the best way to do combinfeeding and if I'm giving her the right ounces?

First of all, what you can pump out of you is no reflection on how much milk you're actually producing. I EBF both my babies (and continued to feed them to 14 months) but could barely pump an ounce!
If you really want to carry on BF, I would suggest letting baby suckle as much as she wants. Can you feed lying down? Take yourselves off to bed and just let her feed all day. The more she feeds, the more you'll produce. You may still have to give top-ups for a little while but these can be reduced once your supply is restored. Don't forget to eat and drink lots. And be kind to yourself, your body is recovering from major surgery!

Let her BF as much as she wants, then top up with a bottle.
Are you drinking a glass of water every time you BF, and eating good nutritious food ?
