Formula made without boiled water by accident

Last night when I was doing the night feeds I used the perfect prep to make my daughters bottle - she is on Nannycare goat based formula - I remember in the night thinking that it didn’t seem very warm whilst I was feeding it to her and now I’m worried that the machine hasn’t dispensed the initial boiling water and that the formula hasn’t been boiled, I’m worried now that she’s going to become ill, her injections are today as well and I don’t know if that’s contributing to my worry and I’m just being paranoid that if she does get Ill off the formula and then the injections that she could become really really unwell, please someone tell me I’m overreacting or should I actually be worried 🙃🙃🥲

You are over reacting and shouldn’t be worried 😊

You’ll see plenty of threads on here where people ask about formula preparation and you’ll always get those people declaring how years ago it was normal to boil water to pour in several bottles, leave to one side and then add powder to cold sterilised water, warming it up optional. Some people still insists on doing this now, I see it when I’m out. People add powder to a bottle filled with water and straight into baby’s mouth, it’s clearly not hot! I’m not advocating it at all - we should all know better now. But plenty of babies have had their milk like that for every feed with no consequences, so a one off is highly unlikely to cause harm.

Hard not to worry I know but like pp said, people don’t always use boiling water and in other countries it’s standard that you don’t and in fact you use bottled water.
also the water from a perfect prep is filtered so at least you know the water is ok and the chances of harmful bacteria in the formula is very very unlikely.
my baby is on neocate for cmpa and neocate has to be added to cooled boiled water not boiling water so I never add boiling water to his formula.

Thankyou both she has been fine - first time parenting is very nerve wracking 😅😅
