Please help me.

DD2 is now 14 weeks old and exclusively breast fed. It is going really well and she is thriving.

The problem is that she is nipping my breast whilst feeding. A couple of times it has been so hard that I have actually shouted at her because it hurt so much. She came off briefly, but went back on after giving me a cheeky grin.

I usually pull my top over my breast, but she just lifts it up. I have tried holding her hand, but when let go she just nips again. She can't quite grip toys yet. Apart from putting mitts on her whilst feeding, is there anything else I could do.

Thanks in advance

My dd does this, although at 36 weeks she's mastered latching off, grabbing my nipple and twisting it. Ouch.

I think the general advice is to try not to shout or react, put her down when she's done it and leave her on the floor for a couple of minutes, then latch back on. Repeat as necessary.

I do sympathise, it hurts!
