sterilising bottles

Does anyone (i am sure there is) know up to what age is recommened to sterilise bottles? i THINK i remeber it dropping to 6 months when my youngest...were younger?

(Just enquiring for my sister)

I stopped sterilising when DS was 12 months old.

For bottles I think they say to carry on as milk gets trapped in the teat, but you don't need to sterilise cups / bowls etc after 6 months. I carried on until DS stopped using bottles (about 12 months). I think if you have a dishwasher that is "acceptable" as it uses v hot water....

official advice is 6 months for cups, bowls, etc and 12 months for bottles and teats
