But just now she had such a mischievous grin on her face I had to turn away so she wouldn't see me laugh! Ouch though!

Anyway, she is 6.5 months, only gumming but this isn't a precedent I want to set! Also she keeps pushing the boob away while my nipple is still in her mouth. How can i nip this in the bud?

Hi. My dd's would sometimes clamp down unexpectedly it they fell asleep feeding. My technique was to get my little finger in between nipple and the little one's mouth in order to extract myself! Also, sometimes used to take this as a signal that they had had enough!

She's definitely doing it deliberately!

before the teeth come just change your tone of voice to a stern 'no'when she does it she will soon stop.
at six and a half months putting her across the room will not register with her that this is punishment for biting!
NO baby likes a stern voice.
