Worried about baby's weight gain

My LG is almost 8 months old and weighs 9.3kg which I think means she is over the 90th centile. When she was born she was 7lb2 which was around 25th centile and we had feeding issues, reflux and CMPA which meant her weight dropped rapidly and she ended up at the 9th centile. Once she was given Neocate formula she started to put weight on and started thriving - then at around 5 months her weight just shot up rapidly. I started weaning her at 6months and she's on 2 meals a day (mainly veg) but most of it ends up on the floor.

Obviously I'm pleased she is thriving but I'm worried about the speed of her weight gain as it's not as if she was a high weight when she was born (the opposite in fact) and she does look like a really big baby now. Has anyone experienced this? We thicken her milk with magic mix due to her reflux and I'm not sure if that has contributed.

I'm going to ask our paediatrician about it but our appointment isn't for another month

I meant to add she is on 4bottles a day between 6-7oz

I wouldn't be too concerned, once she starts moving around her weight will plateau. Does she drink all 4 bottles? I have a 7 month old son who will be dropping his mid morning bottle soon to be replaced with an early lunch and currently has 4/5 ozs for that one. He has 7ozs for the other 3 bottles

Forgot to add, he also has 3 meals a day now

She does drink all 4 although sometimes she will only have 4 Oz for the 7am bottle - she is on Omeprazole and I think it affects her appetite first thing just after she's had the medicine.until recently she was only having 5/6 Oz from each - so maybe she is ready for a third meal. I did introduce a third meal already but she started refusing food so I thought I'd done it too quickly

@lady725516 do you mine me asking the timings of your milk feeds vs solids? I'm not sure I'm doing the right thing in terms of giving her milk first then solids about 30/60 mins later depending on nap times

This is roughly what we do:
7am - 7oz milk
8/830- breakfast
11 - 4/5oz milk
1130/12 - lunch
3pm - 7oz milk
5pm - dinner
7pm - 7oz milk

I plan on dropping the mid morning milk next week and see how he is with just the 3. A 7 month old needs around 600mls of formula a day so will be have this with 3 bottles of 7oz.

He is a chunky baby (all my children have been chubby babies) born on the 50th centile then gone up.
I wouldn't worry to much about what centile she is on, sounds like she is fine and it will even out when she starts moving around Smile

@lady725516 this is pretty much the same as us except she's still have the full bottle but our timings are the same. Her naps are quite inconsistent though so it does move a lot some days. Wish I could crack the naps! Thanks that's so helpful

We haven't cracked the naps yet either so you're not alone!!
