Which of these methods for a feed whilst out and about?

I know neither of these methods are the ideal way to make up formula whilst out and about, but which would be the better out of the three if you were unable to carry flasks and had no access to ready to feed formula?

If my baby will need a feed within 2 hours of us leaving the house, would it be preferable to either:

  • Pour the correct amount of boiling water into a bottle, store in baby bag and then add the powder to it when the feed is due whilst out as it will have cooled down to a reasonable temp by then
  • Make up a bottle with boiling water/70c water just before leaving, with the idea that it will have cooled down enough by the time the feed is due
  • Make up a bottle with hot water not long before leaving, rapid cool/refrigerate and take out with me to use when the feed is due?
Thanks

I'd probably do number 1 as you are minimising the time that the formula is reconstituted for. It would also still be warm.

I do method number two if i know they will be needing the feed in the next hour or so, I make it up with boiling water and it's the right temp for drinking by the time it's needed.

Thanks both!
