Possible milk allergy, 7 week old? Help x

My baby is formula fed, we use Aptamil And she is 7 weeks old.

In the last two weeks her poos have become very watery and they are always leaking out of the nappy. She poos around every other day.

She seems distressed when going for a poo, incredibly fussy in the evenings particularly. Fussy with her bottle now, starts off well but then fusst drinking the rest and it takes at least an hour to finish.

I find she has a snuffly nose, sneezes quite often and does spit up often too.

Does this sound like an allergy ?

Thank you

Hello, for me personally I didn't experience any of those symptoms for both my childrens cmpa allergy. However, if you feel something isn't right call the doctor, it's not your responsibility to decide.

Have you thought of changing to Cow and Gate or SMA to see if it makes a difference if you don't want to speak to the GP. I don't remember if you're breastfeeding, if you are you could go dairy free and see what the reaction is like after a bf feed and formula feed.

Good luck

My DD has CMPA and her symptoms were bright green watery poo, sulphur smelling as well as sulphur smell when passing wind. Full body rash, constant crying from being uncomfortable, arching back and legs and what felt like constantly vomiting. I know everyone’s symptoms can be different so I’d go to the GP and they’ll probably get you to trial an alternative formula then reintroduce the original formula. Only then can you tell

Also, if she is 7 weeks old and only just had a couple of symptoms now I’d say it’s very unlikely. My DD had all those symptoms within days of birth

Thank you all!
I went to the Gp and they recommended changing formula
I changed to Kendamil from Aptamil yesterday
She seems to be taking the bottle a bit better so far.
