Aptamil comfort milk separating

I’ve just bought a tub of Aptamil comfort milk and made up a feed to keep in the fridge. Coming back to it after a couple of hours it has massively separated and looks grim! Is this normal and something a quick shake can fix or is it not suitable for making a few hours in advance?? (I know you’re not SUPPOSED to, but I’ve been doing it with regular milk and it’s fine).

Yeah that doesn't look good!

Did you keep in the door part of fridge?
It needs to be at the back really for the coldest place.

Did you allow to cool before putting in the fridge?

Hi @HolyMoly22 ,

I made it and put it straight in the fridge.. not kept in the door but kept near the front of the fridge.. noted to keep it at the back!

Have chucked this bottle.. will try again and see what happens! Annoying if we can’t make them up in advance though, as DD drinks them straight from the fridge which makes night feeds quite easy! Will be a pain if we need to make them up from scratch each time..
