Hi, I have a 6 month old baby. He is breastfed but does take an expressed bottle of milk. My friends hen do is this weekend, I’ve said I’d go for one night, leaving mine on Saturday morning and coming back Sunday early afternoon. My husband will be looking after our baby and he is encouraging me to go. I do t want to let my friend down but I am worried about feeling full - I only have a Hakka pump and am also worried if 24 hours away from my baby will affect supply or his latch when I’m back. I’m also worried about missing him or him wanting me for comfort in the night. My husband is more than fine looking after him day and night so really it’s the breast feeding I’m most worried about. Has anyone done anything similar and it all have been fine?

Your supply will be more than established by now so as long as you express for comfort, from a strictly BFing point of view it seems fine.

So I suppose it depends on if you want to go?

Go, it will do you all good. Your DH obviously wants this time alone with baby which is good, a night with your friends will do you good, it helps to keep the connections, before you know it children are grown and friends matter more. You will miss him more than he misses you and that is good.

Supply will be fine, the joy of getting home will be great.

Have you decided what you're doing yet @Crumbs9?
