9 month old not eating solids or drinking much milk

Hello everyone

I am at my wits end with my DS. He is 9 months in a weeks time and has always been a funny little feeder. We started to wean properly around 6 months and all was going well. He then got a lot of illnesses one after another (bronchiolitis, Norovirus and then Covid) which has completely thrown him off his weaning and he is essentially just on milk at the moment as he will refuse to eat anything only a bit of his porridge or yoghurt and still hasn't grasped finger food. As of Wednesday, his milk drinking has gone tits up! He will only drink about 80ml of formula every 1.5 - 2hrs or so. He has seen a doctor and they seem happy with him and are confident that he his hydrated as he is taking around 18 - 20oz. I am also bearing in mind that his top 2 teeth are currently coming through, you can clearly see 2 big cuts in his gums.

Has anyone experienced something similar during teething?

Yes but ours is ten months. Will only eat those baby kiddilicous wafers as finger food. Will eat a bit of other foods though and apparently she is fine as per her recent check up, doctor told me to just relax and try more finger foods in a month that she will come around in her own time and would have lost weight if she wasn’t getting enough in. I still worry a bit though purely because my other baby was so different even though I know you should not compare.

Oh meant to say we are going through the top front teeth too 😂😂😂

@Yummymummy2020 it's so stressful isn't it! The doctors said not to worry too much about the solids but to make sure he is having enough milk, fluids etc but he isn't doing too great there either! How is your little one with her fluids?

She is ok for the most part but won’t touch water. She is basically having maybe four bottles unfinished a day maybe a third left. Personally I thought this was too little, but she would have wet nappies so the doctor said it was ok and that things will improve. I offer her a little beaker with water but she literally will not even humor me by chewing on it, no interest at all!!!
