I'm 30 weeks pregnant. Had a breast reduction age 18. I'm 34 now.
Was delighted and shocked to notice that after a bath yesterday my nipples seem to be producing colostrum!
Can I ask...
- How many nipple "orifices" did you get milk/colostrum out of? I have counted 5 minimum each side so far but hoping there will be more.
- If you have had breast reduction, was colostrum production any signifier of whether breastfeeding would work successfully?
- I need to stop messing with them as the midwife spooked me and said I could induce labour (is that actually true??), but im just so curious to know whether my nipples will work! How much colostrum came out if you squeezed at 30 weeks?
I find it all so fascinating!!
