Hi all

First time mum here & would love some advice on weaning my 6m old.

She can sit upright (with support) she's not able to sit by herself yet (is this normal at her age?)

Have tried to give her some puréed broccoli today and she spit it all up and got really upset. Then have tried with carrots and the same

Where am I going wrong ? Is she not ready? She's 6m and 2 weeks.

Also once they start weaning do you give them just one "meal " a day & the rest milk ? Or 3 meals and milk As a snack 🙈

Any advice?

At the start you give food in addition to the usual milk feeds. Its about new tastes and textures rather than trying to fill them up. Maybe try some finger foods alongside mashed/pureed food. Start with 1 meal and work your way up to 3 gradually.
