Now, I know that baby poo comes in all shapes, colours and sizes, and babycarrot's poo has been at times watery, mucousy, seedy, brownish, but is generally your classic breastfed chicken korma paste stylee. All very normal, I know.

So.

Over the last week or so, she's been producing little dollops of much more solid poo. I'm thinking cold cream cheese consistency, perhaps soft playdoh?

Beautifully mustard, tho'. We're not talking hard little rabbit droppings, you understand, they are still squishable in the nappy.

And accompanied by some enthusiastic grunting and squawking.

(by her, not me)

Should I be concerned? Didn't think "solid" was quite the done thing for the well brought up breastfeeder.

How old is she?

I think it sounds quite normal but you could check with your HV to be sure.

Lovely descriptions

Thank you. One tries.

She's 24 weeks.

Ah, the HV. We don't see eye to eye, exactly, In fact, we no longer see each other at all...

we are, however, seeing a paediatrician on wednesday about something unrelated, so I will mention it then.

I found Gaviscon infant did that to my DDs poo - is she taking that by any chance?

verylittlecarrot · 07/01/2008 22:39

No, she's not taking anything. I suspect it's just a blip (plop?) in her pooing habits. At least I hope so.
