My 7 week old son has been prescribed gaviscon as he is sick after every feed and pretty much in between feeds too but his sick has become projectile on it and seems like it’s more sick than usual. Has anyone else had this experience? I’d of thought it would’ve worked straight away if it was going to, not sure whether to just stop. He’s on Neocate too for a suspected milk allergy

My DD was on gaviscon from 5 weeks old until she was 19 months old. It never stopped the sick sadly but it did help the acid pain she was getting.

If it’s not agreeing with him you might need to look at a different medication for reflux, omeprazole perhaps. Can also try carobel which is a milk thickener (though this didn’t agree with my DD).

Worth getting him checked out if the vomiting is getting worse rather than better, there may be another reason beyond reflux.
How much milk are you giving him at each feed? Smaller volume and more frequent feeds may help stop his tummy getting too full
