Gradually switching to formula - how much to offer?

DD is 6 months next week and has been 90% breastfed but I'm now in the process of switching to formula. I understand to do it gradually and am 'replacing' a feed every 1-2 weeks (although was bfing 6-8 times a day and think she was used to little and often, so am also having to consolidate to 4-5 feeds a day now).

My question is, if I don't know how much she is taking from boob, how much formula should I offer at each feed? Go with the box? (7oz, assuming 5 feeds a day) Can you overfeed a formula fed baby - will she self regulated?

Thanks!

If baby is 6 months and you want to reduce breastfeeding I'd concentrate on upping solids so they reduce their milk feeds.

Both mine had dropped their midday feeds as soon as they were on 3 meals a day.

Other than that. My eldest was combi fed and we did a max of 5oz bottles.

They regulate how much they take from the breast so if they need more they will take it from those feeds.
