Is Alpro Soya Growing Up Drink less filling than formula?

I've put my little one on Alpro growing up soya drink on the advice of the HV as he couldn't handle cows milk when we tried to switch him at 1. He was on Aptamil Formula before this.

He's 13 months now and for the last week or 2 has been waking most night and having a whole extra bottle?

So he's been having 8oz in the morning and evening before bed, then now waking at around 1am and will only settle if we offer him a bottle that he completely finishes! If I offer him water he'll have a few sips but still want a bottle.

So is it possible he's having a growth spurt, or is the Alpro just less filling than formula?

He was on 2 bottles a day (morning and bedtime) so just feels like we've gone backwards! He's a good eater in the day - 3 decent meals and some snacks too.

Why don’t you just keep with the aptamil? If that works why interfere with it? I gave mine formula (at night) till they were 4. It’s full of vitamins etc too and they’re used to the taste.

Formula is filling (apparently). Follow on milks are designed to be slightly less filling (to allow for food) but if you are just giving at night it probably makes no difference. I’d def keep on with formula at 13 months though. It’s more complete than Alpro.

Agree with PP, I kept my DD on formula until 19 months when I transitioned to cows milk.
