Weaning a 13-month old off bf- help!

I've decided to wean my ds and with dh he's been pretty good about going down for him- over the holidays we've cut out 2 of 3 pre-sleep feeds (one to go and one night time nip). But when I've put him down for naps the last 2 days he has hollered as soon as we sit in our normal chair with a book, really hysterical and unable to calm him so I put him down and he falls asleep after hollering for 10. He wakes up upset from nap as well . Any ideas on how to deal with this? Is this him upset about me not bf?

He might be but he will get used to it. I understand the guilt you feel, I was down to 1 feed a day with my 14mo DD but decided when i woke up this morning that that was it, no more. The crying when her daddy went to her with a cup of milk rather than me made me cry too . As with the rest of the feeds that I stopped there will probably be a few days of upset then it is all forgotten about.

I can't quite believe that I don't breastfeed my child any more. I am both and too.

Definitely hearing him so upset made me sad as I knew I could make it better easily but am ready to be done. Thought I'd be sad but overall really ready to stop which I wasn't just a few weeks ago- just wish he was ready too.
