Hi! Can anyone tell me how long they had to exclude dairy and or soya from their diet before their (bf) baby with cmpa and/or soya allergy got a little better and how long before they got completely better? Thank you!

Afternoon, OP,

Just bumping this for you. Hopefully someone is about today who might be able to help.

Hi OP no personal experience but a few mums I’m friends with have soya / CMPA issues. Our babies are now 2 and 3 all of them still have the intolerance and the mums who breast fed (2 out of the 3) had to continue to exclude all diary and soya from genie diets until they stopped.

Sorry might not be what you want to hear! Hopefully someone will come along with more positive experiences

Thank you! I explained poorly. I mean, how long do people cut those things from their diet before the babies symptoms improve or disappear? I know you have to cut them out longer term to prevent further reactions. A few days until the vomiting reduces? A few weeks until the diarrhoea stops completely? Thanks!

@Notasdesperate I'm just searching the boards for an answer to this exact question! Did you find out? Or what was your experience? I'm on day 1 of dairy free for my 4 week old who has frequent loose stools with mucus, and severe nappy rash. Desperate for him to get better!
