...Could this be the beginnings of mastitis?

More description?

The actual breast and not the nipple?
Any lumps?
Any redness?

Sorry! DD was crying.

No lumps, it's the actual breast. It did get full yesterday as I was out.

I know to feed loads from that side now but just wondering if it could be beginning of mastitis. It's quite painful and tender.

Not red but quite hot.

When I had mastitis I felt like I had the flu, badly, and there was a red mark on one breast which hurt when I fed, sound similar?

Well just getting over a stomach bug so don't feel great but not really fluey and no temp so will keep an eye on it. Thanks

Mastitis sounds awful!

If it is the early stages of mastitis or a blocked duct, feed from that breast, massage the breast from the top to the bottom, and if you have a power shower put the jet on full blast on your boob.

TBH, it was, but only for a day or two, and all I wanted to do was feed from that breast which seemed to be the only thing that relieved it.
The flu-like symptoms were the worst for me the pain was just like when you haven't fed and your breasts are very bloody full!

Yes I think it is the beginnings of it. It is becoming more sore and I don't feel too good.

Thanks for advice, now off to try shower
