Formula recommendations for top up of EBM

Hi I'm the proud mum of premature twins aged 10 weeks, how ever they are still only 39 weeks gestation. Since they were born they have been fed on EBM and sometimes put to the breast however I'm running out of my frozen back up and am not producing enough milk to fully feed them both. Please can you give me your recommendations for formula top up? I have absolutely no knowledge of formula and don't know where to start! I'd really like something that's organic.

Hang on, they were 29 weekers? Then the top ups should be a formula designed for ex premmies, which you should get on prescription.

They probably need prem formula. On my unit they stay on Gold Prem 2 until they are 6 months old. Contact your Nicu outreach or your health visitor for advice. Don't buy term formula without speaking to nicu or the health visitor.
Are you fortifying the ebm as well because that will also need to be taken into account along with any vitamins they are on.

Thanks everyone I will speak to Nicu outreach and see what they say, they are not on any fortifier but take Abidec and Sodium Fered daily and folic acid weekly

I agree that they need prem formula. I would also recommend getting a prescription for domperidone if you’re not already taking it - it can really help with supply issues.
