At what age did your baby start having 3 meals a day?

7mo DS is taking to weaning pretty well. We do a mixture of finger foods and purées. At the moment we're doing breakfast and an early dinner, and he pretty much polishes off everything I give him. He's cut down from 6 to 4 bottles a day, occasionally 5 although often not the full amount.

Apart from worrying how I'm going to squeeze in another meal into a day, how will I know to add lunch??

Thanks!

According to the NHS guidelines it’s between 8 and 9 months.

You can try a snack (some fruit?) As a 3rd meal if they're eating well

Both of mine were offered food every time we were eating (the same food as us as far as possible) if they were awake for it from as soon as they started weaning. We never consciously added a meal, they just started eating more over time.

About 9 months but it was only around 12 months that he actually started eating all / most of his food. I cut him down to 2 breastfeeds a day as I was returning to work, and he started eating much better.

Don't bother too much with guidelines. Check what your child is eating/finishing/not finishing.... and cater for his needs Wink DD3 is 15 months and hardly eats for her 3 meals 🤷🏻‍♀️ but she's a good weight and good development. DD2 ate really well!! It depends on the child. As long as they're healthy and happy
