Confused about sterilising for 14 month old

My 14 month old has so far been unable to transition to cows milk. Not sure if it’s a slight dairy problem, but whenever we try her on it she is up for about two hours unsettled in the night. On formula she sleeps through.
The bit I’m confused about is that I don’t understand if I still need to sterilise her bottles. Guidance I read said you don’t have to sterilise if they are on cows milk, and they don’t need a bottle once they are one. But if you still have to use formula do you have to sterilise, and if you have to sterilise is the best thing to use a bottle?
I’d love to pack away the steriliser and the bottles, please advise everyone!! Thank you

Is she active? Mine were putting all kinds of things in their mouths at that age so sterilising was unnecessary.

I stopped feeding bottles here when she was 6 months! I think you're safe to put it all away.

You dont need to sterilise.

Dishwasher is perfectly fine.

At 14 months your child will be licking shoes/fences/gravel. You don't need to sterilise as long as you wash it with dish soap and water!

No need to sterilise after 12 months.

Try and do a gradual change to whole milk… 5oz formula,1oz milk. Then increase the ratio until it’s just whole milk. Took about 1.5 weeks for my son 🙂

You no longer need to sterilise bottles or feeding cups, thorough cleaning on hot detergent/rinsing or dishwasher is sufficient. Ideally you shouldn’t be using bottles after one year old.
However, if you are using a formula powder, you need to use boiling water to mix the powder, as there is a small risk of bacterial contamination of the powder, which the boiling water will neutralise.

I just sterilised everything once a week

Thanks that makes sense. I just wasn’t sure if the sterilising was tied to the use of formula! You’re all right, she is everywhere and eating everything so that will make no difference.

Thanks @Danikm151 for the advice on gradual swap, I will give it a try! It would make life so much easier if she could drink normal milk

No problem Will be so much better for your bank balance too!
I still heat up cows milk for my tiny human but the faff of formula is far away
