Is this CMPA?

My 12 week old DD has been unsettled since around 4 weeks and has been given medication for silent reflux. I stopped eating dairy for over a month and tried some yesterday. Last night she had a slightly raised red rash on her cheek, today it is very slightly pink. She had this before I was told it could be normal baby acne. Her poos have been normal. Do people think she has CMPA?

My twins both had CMPA and their symptoms were:
• Blotchy, red skin on cheeks
• Gassy
• Very unsettled ALL the time

• Mucus poos (however they did sometimes have 'normal' ones too)

We ended up being prescribed dairy-free formula as I didn't breastfeed, so you could try the dairy-free diet again and see if it helps?

They also had medication for reflux issues, so that in itself would make them unsettled! My two didn't have much luck as you can tell Grin
But they definitely improved on the diary-free formula, and are now on completely normal diets at 19 months old after doing the milk ladder at 1.

Hope this helps somewhat!

@seaswim33 this article from Kellymom is good at explaining feed sensitivities in BF babies.

How is she getting on now?
