Carobel reviews

We have today used carobel for the first time in my DDs feed for her reflux. She is on omeprazole and infant gaviscon but I have seen good reviews regarding carobel so decided to give it a try as the gaviscon doesn't seem to he stopping her from bringing large mouthfuls up each feed.

We used 1 scoop to 6 ounces, with a size 2 MAM teat. We think she may be struggling to get it out as she's taking longer to feed than normal. Did anyone else find this?
She also has only taken 3 ounces out of her normal 6 and isn't interested in anymore at all. We aren't sure if this is because of the teat or if the carobel has made her feel more full... has anyone else experienced their baby taking less with carobel?

I have also just been researching about it and found an article regarding carobel making wind/bum wind much worse... my DD is already struggling with bum wind which keeps her and me awake for half of the night when she is wriggling around and grunting them out, so now I am paranoid it is going to make her even worse.

Has anyone got any experiences with carobel and are they good or bad?

It didn't work for us at all.

It worked for a week

Also didn’t work for my DD. Gave her terrible nappies and a belly ache.

I stuck with gaviscon. It didn’t stop the sick but she wasn’t in pain and still gained weight.

@Vicky1989x With the Gaviscon, as DD is over 10lb now the packet says 2 sachets per bottle... does this mean she can have a total of 12 sachets per day or is it still a maximum of 6 sachets? Because then we can only put it in 3 of her bottles a day and I feel like she might be bad on the other 3 that we can't give it to her in

@PL2021 honestly I was never clear about that. Some places it says no more than 6 sachets some say no more than 6 times. I found 1 sachet worked in 4oz but anymore she needed 2.. luckily she was never a big milk drinker so when she got to 6 months I just done 3 bottles x 2 sachets in each (with 8oz of milk).

I’d check with a HV or GP.
