So for the past few weeks my DD has been suffering really badly with reflux. She has been on Gaviscon which worked for a very short period then stopped. Anyway, after numerous phones calls (and arguments!) with the Dr's and Paed, they finally agreed to prescribe her omeprazole. She has only had once dose so far so I am yet to see an improvement. However last night has been her worst night in terms of sleeping to date.
She wriggled, tossed, turned and grunted all night. In the past I have put this down to the reflux, however last night all she did was fart all night! I've never heard so much gas come from such a tiny thing.
She also hasn't had a decent explosive nappy for 24 hours, she has passed a small stool but it was quite formed, not hard or pellet like, but certainly more firm than usual. So I'm wondering if perhaps she is a little constipated which could be causing the wriggling and purping all night long?
Or perhaps it is the reflux causing the wriggling?
Either way it kept me (and I think her) awake almost all night.
She does sleep better on my shoulder but obviously I can't keep her there all night 
I am wondering if maybe the gas and possible constipation setting in could be a side effect of the omeprazole? Anybody else had experience with a baby like this and know anything I can do to help?
