Formula or Whole Milk at 12 months?

Just after some advice please! My LO has been formula fed since birth, and he is now approaching a year and I am just trying to figure out whether to continue formula or switch to whole milk? I see they do a stage 3 formula?

What are the pros and cons of each? He's not great with solid food (although will eat some - I offer 3 meals a day), and he has 3 x 8oz bottles of formula a day currently (8am, 12pm and 7pm)

Any advice appreciated 😊

You don't need any other formula than newborn or first infant formula. That is just clever marketing by the formula makers to think you do. At one I would introduce whole cows milk. It might take a few tries but cheaper than any next stage infant formula x

I just took my 13 month old off formula altogether and he's fine without it and has cows milk instead. I think formula is fine if you want to carry on, I dropped his bottles as he wasn't eating food and it helped.

Just normal milk. I thought Follow on formulas were only invented because they can be advertised, unlike newborn formula?

My 19 month old still has stage 1 formula. She didn’t take to cows milk initially so I tried stage 3 but found she was eating far far less so went back to stage 1. Now I’m mixing it again (6oz formula 2oz cows milk) and will start increasing the ratio soon.
